Table Saw Alignment

This might seem to be pretty obvious, but I have encountered some people who seem to think that there are valid reasons to try and perform alignments and adjustments on a Table Saw while it’s running.  Well, nothing could be more wrong.  There is absolutely nothing on a table saw that can benefit from being adjusted while the machine is running.  It’s just plain dangerous and there’s no good reason for it.  So, pull the plug (or, if your saw is hard-wired then engage the lockout) before you begin any alignment procedure.
